Accessibility statement
Effective: 29 September 2026
We want every broker, dispatcher and carrier to be able to use carrierwatchlist.com, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, magnification or voice control.
The standard we work to
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, and we check new pages against it before they go live.
What we have done
- A skip link on every page and one main landmark, with a single heading structure per page.
- A visible focus outline on every link, button and field, and every control works from the keyboard, including the menu.
- Every form field has a text label, and form results are announced to screen readers.
- Text and controls meet AA contrast ratios. Carrier status is always written in words; the yellow highlight is never the only signal.
- Data tables have header cells, and wide tables scroll inside their own box on small screens instead of the whole page.
- Alert emails are plain HTML with real text, not images.
Known limits
- The lookup and the account page need JavaScript. Without it, FMCSA's SAFER site gives the same carrier record, and you can manage your watchlist by writing to us.
- Carrier names appear in capital letters because that is how FMCSA records them; some screen readers may spell out short names letter by letter.
Report a barrier
Email [email protected] with the page address and what went wrong. We aim to reply within 5 business days and to fix the problem or give you another way to get the same information.
