Terms of service
Effective: 29 September 2026
These terms govern your use of Carrier Watchlist at carrierwatchlist.com, including the carrier lookup, the carrier pages and the watchlist alerts. By signing up or using the site you accept them.
1. The service
Once a day we read FMCSA's public files for each USDOT number on your watchlist and email you when we find a change of the kinds listed on the home page: an insurance cancellation, BI&PD insurance no longer on file, an authority no longer active, a suspension or revocation notice, a USDOT number made inactive, an out-of-service order, or an MCS-150 more than 24 months old.
2. Plans and billing
- The Free plan watches up to 3 carriers at no cost. It starts when you click the link in the confirmation email.
- The Broker plan watches up to 250 carriers for $29 a month, billed in advance by card through Stripe until you cancel.
- You can cancel the Broker plan at any time from the billing portal linked on your account page. Stripe stops future charges. We do not refund part months, but if something went wrong on our side, write to us and we will put it right.
- If a payment fails, alerts continue while Stripe retries the card. If Stripe gives up, the subscription ends and alerts stop.
- We will give subscribers at least 30 days' notice by email before changing the price of a paid plan.
3. FMCSA data and what the alerts cannot do
Everything we show and send comes from FMCSA's public records as FMCSA publishes them. FMCSA's records can be late, incomplete or wrong, and we can only report what FMCSA has published. An alert, or the absence of one, is not a statement by us that a carrier is or is not authorized, insured or suitable to carry a load. Whether to book a carrier is your decision. Check the live record (our lookup or FMCSA SAFER) before you tender a load, and use your own vetting process.
Carrier Watchlist is independent and not affiliated with FMCSA or the U.S. Department of Transportation.
4. Permitted use
The service is for vetting and monitoring motor carriers, which are businesses. Do not use it to make decisions about an individual's credit, employment, insurance or housing. Do not scrape or bulk-download the site, resell the alerts, overload or probe our systems, or use the service to harass anyone.
5. No warranty
The service is provided as is and as available. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, that every change FMCSA publishes will be detected, or that any alert will arrive by a given time.
6. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, loads, cargo or revenue, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.
7. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in links private; anyone with a current link can change your watchlist. Request a new link from the account page at any time: it replaces the old one.
8. Changes and ending the service
We may change these terms by updating the effective date above and emailing subscribers about material changes. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms. If we ever close the service, we will stop billing and give paid subscribers notice by email.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which the operator of Carrier Watchlist is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
